Six more testify against Hasina, 46 others

Six witnesses on Wednesday testified in three cases filed against 47 people, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy and daughter Saima Wazed Putul, over irregularities in the allocation of plots in the RAJUK Purbachal New Town Project.

The witnesses are Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Salahuddin, ACC Assistant Directors Afnan Jannat Keya and Dhiraj Chandra Barman, Housing & Public Works ministry's Joint Secretary Jahirul Islam Khan, AGM of Agrani Bank Laila Nur Begum, and Senior Principal Officer of Sonali Bank Md. Monir Hossain.

They were testified at Dhaka Special Judge Court-5. Judge Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun at the end of day's proceedings adjourned the hearing till November 3, reports BSS.
