Six on remand over killing of teen gang leader Emon

A Dhaka court has placed six people on a four-day remand each in a case filed over the killing of teenage gang leader Emon alias Alex Emon in the capital's Mohammadpur area, report agencies.

The accused are Sayed Hossain Shimul alias Aiub (26). Md Tuhin Biswas (24), Md Rabbi Kazi (25), Md Rana (40), Md Sumon (26), and Md Russel alias Picchi Russel (25).

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Monirul Islam passed the order on Thursday after police produced them before the court with a seven-day remand prayer.
