Sixth season of Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid to kick off with Sylhet selection round

The sixth season of Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid has been planned to be launched with the selection round for the Sylhet division on Friday.

The event organisers asked registered students to be present at Govt. Agragami Girls' High School and College located in the Sylhet city at 9 am, according to a press release.

Ispahani Mirzapore, a tea brand in the country, has been organising the event with the slogan: 'Banglai Jagi Bhorpur' (Lets rise with a brimful of Bengali) since 2017.

Young students' expertise of Bengali language is tested through the competition, which is also televised as a reality show to inspire the use of accurate Bengali grammar, spelling and pronunciation.

The ultimate champion will be awarded a scholarship worth Tk 1 million and the first and the second runners-up will receive scholarships worth Tk 300,000 and Tk 200,000 respectively.

Moreover, each of the top ten competitors will receive a laptop, a bookshelf and Bengali books worth Tk 50,000 for their personal library.
