Special arrangements made for women in Khaleda's funeral

Female members of Begum Khaleda Zia's family, women advisers of the interim government and other distinguished female personalities joined the Namaz-e-Janaza of Begum Khaleda Zia, who was laid to rest beside her husband Ziaur Rahman's grave on Wednesday.
Daughter-in-law of Begum Khaleda Zia and wife of BNP Acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman, Zubaida Rahman and their daughter Zaima Rahman, late Arafat Rahman Koko's wife Syeda Shamila Rahman her daughters Jahia Rahman and Jafiya Rahman, among other female relatives, attended the funeral ceremony. Special arrangements were made so that women could pay their final respects to former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia during her Janaza prayer at Manik Mia Avenue on.
According to a statement, which was posted on BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's verified Facebook page on Wednesday, separate areas had been designated for women at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and along Manik Mia Avenue. The funeral prayer of the three-time former Prime Minister was held around 3:00pm, which drew millions of people from all walks of life.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, members of the interim government, senior political leaders, foreign guests and diplomats were also present to pay their final respects to Begum Khaleda Zia.
