Three go missing in Savar in five days

SAVAR, Dec 19 (UNB): Three people including a college student and a prayer leader of a local mosque have gone missing from the upazila in last five days.

The missing are identified as Sharif Hossain, 18, son of Anwar Hossain Ripon, a resident of Aragaon area under Ashulia Police Station and a second year student of Ashulia Doshaid AK School and College, Ibrahim Khalil, 27, Imam or prayer leader of Shahibag Baitush Salat Jam-e-Masjid and Shakil Mia, 23, a readymade garments worker of the area.

Family sources said Sharif Hossain left home on December 16 and did not come back. His mobile phone has been found switched off since the day.

Police sources said Ibrahim Khalil and Shakil Mia had been missing from Friday last and their mobile phones also were found switched off.

The family members of the victims pass their days with fear and they filed general diaries with Savar and Ashulia Police Stations in this connection.

They are trying to trace the missing people, police said.
