Woman dies as army projectile goes off

A woman has been killed and three others injured in the blast of a live projectile found at an army firing range in Tangail's Ghatail, reports bdnews24.com .

Deceased Moyna Khatun, 25, lived in Maidharchala village. The injured were given first aid at the Ghatail Combined Military Hospital.

Ghatail Police Station OC Md Mohiuddin said Moyna found the projectile and its cartridge case abandoned at Shaheed Salahuddin Cantonment's Maidharchala Long Firing Range area on Wednesday afternoon.

She carried those home in a bag and when she took the projectile out, it went off.
