Youth hacked to death in city's Mirpur

A 22-year-old youth was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants at Diabari colony area of Mirpur in the capital, police and hospital sources said.

"With fatal stab-injuries, the youth was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) at around 12:15 am. But doctors declared him dead later," DMCH Police Outpost Inspector Mohammad Faruk told BSS Saturday morning.

Son of Anarul Islam of Mithapukur Upazila of Rangpur, the youth named Milon was a garment worker in Diabari area of Rupnagar

Surya, a friend of the victim, said a gang of miscreants hacked Milon with a sharp weapon in the Diabari City Colony area at midnight.
