0.55m students apply for admission to Ctg colleges

CHATTOGRAM, May 26: More than five hundred thousand students have applied for admission to different coll#eges under the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Chattogram this year.

Board officials said they received 559,555 applications through website and SMSs from 107,638 students by May 24, the last date for submitting the applications.

But 847 students who passed the SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination under the board this year did not submit applications within the deadline, they said.

Sources said a total of 236,909 students applied for admission to different colleges under humanities group while 124,661 under science group and 197,885 under business group.

A total of 102,037 students passed the SSC exam under Chattogram Board this year but of them, 101,190 students applied for admission to different colleges under Chattogram Board.
