20 candidates collect DUCSU nomination forms in two days

Some 20 candidates have collected nomination forms during the first two days of the nomination form distribution period for Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election.

Among them, five are running for vice president (VP) post, while the remaining 15 are vying for other central positions.

Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin shared the information at a press briefing on Wednesday. The briefing was held in front of his office on the third floor of the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.

According to him, seven candidates collected nomination papers on Tuesday, including two for the VP post.

On Wednesday, 13 candidates took forms, with three for VP post. So far, four candidates have submitted their completed nomination papers.

Moreover, 18 nomination forms have been collected from 18 residential halls for the hall union elections over the past two days.

Candidates can collect the forms between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM until August 18 from the office of the chief returning officer, located on the third floor of the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building. The nomination papers must be submitted by August 19.
