244 dengue cases reported in 24 hours

A total of 244 new dengue cases were reported across the country in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning, raising the number of confirmed cases to 6,466 since the beginning of this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), report agencies.

Of the new patients, 36 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka, and the rest outside it. Currently, 738 dengue patients are now receiving treatment at hospitals. The number of deaths remains at 30, with no new fatalities reported.

Barishal Division reported the highest number of new infections, with 138 cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 10 more Covid-19 cases were reported in the same period in Chattogram. Besides, two new cases were also detected in Khulna.
