39 to vie for each seat in IU intake tests

Some 39 students will vie for a seat in the admission tests for first year honours courses of Islamic University (IU) under the 2017-18 academic session, reports UNB.

The university authorities have sold a total of 87,388 application forms against 2,275 seats, said IU acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif on Monday afternoon.

Some 2,082 students have applied against 240 seats for 'A' unit under the Theology Faculty while 14,398 against 420 seats for 'B' unit under Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty, 17,435 against 375 seats for 'C' unit under Social Sciences Faculty, 16,646 against 250 seats for 'D' unit under Applied Science and Technology Faculty.
