The 40th birth anniversary of chief justice Syed Mahbub Murshed will be observed today (Wednesday), says a press release.
On this occasion, a Qurankhwani will be held at his grave at Banani at 10:00 am and Syed Mahbub Murshed Memorial Committee will place wreaths there.
Family members will organise the annual milad mahfil at his residence at Gulshan on Friday after Asr prayers as the day is a holiday.
Various socio-cultural organisations will also hold memorial discussion on the life and works of Justice Murshed, marking the day.
An eminent jurist in South Asia, he was one of the greatest constitutional lawyers of the sub-continent and a respected figure in the political arena.
