50 robbers to surrender in Bagerhat today

BAGERHAT, May 22 (UNB): More than 50 members of six forest robber gangs including their chiefs will surrender to the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan along with their arms and ammunition at Rapid Action Battalion-6 office in Labanchhora of Khulna district tomorrow (Wednesday).

The members of Rajon Bahini alias Dada Bhai, Amir Ali Bahini, Hannan Bahini, Munna Bahini, Choto Samsu Bahini and Surya Bahini will surrender to the home minister in the morning.

Khandaker Rafiqul Islam, commanding officer of RAB-6, said the robbers' gangs with a number of firearms and several hundred bullets will be surrendering today (Wednesday).

Some 58 forest robbers will be provided with proper assistance for their rehabilitation

Earlier, on April 1, twenty seven members of three forest robber gangs surrendered to home minister along with their arms and ammunition at Swadhinata Uddyan in the district town.
