AAUB team secures 12th place in DBF competition

The team from Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB), secured 12th place out of 175 universities in the first phase of the Design, Build, and Fly (DBF) competition, recently held in Arizona, USA, according to a statement.

The event was organised by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

This marks AAUB's second consecutive year in the competition. In their debut last year, the team earned Bangladesh's best-ever ranking-36th overall and 18th in design out of 159 universities.

The AAUB team was supervised by Group Captain Dr. Saifur Rahman Bakaul and led by student team leader Abdullah Al Aziz.

This year, a record number of universities (175) participated in the UAV design challenge.

The Vice Chancellor of AAUB congratulated the team on their remarkable achievement and assured them of continued support as they progress to the next stages of the competition.
