Abducted victim rescued, one held in city

Police have rescued an abductee and arrested one person for his alleged involvement in the crime from the capital's Modhya Badda, reports BSS.

The arrestee, Md Saifur Rahman alias Sumon aged 40, was sent to the court in connection with a case filed with Badda Police Station.

With the help of CCTV footage analysis, a team of Badda Thana police in a raid in the Bazar Goli area of Madhya Badda and arrested Sumon and rescued the abducted Md. Sohel at 11:50 pm on Saturday.

The motorcycle and two mobile phone sets used in the kidnap were recovered from the possession of the detained Saifur. The mobile phone from which Saifur called to demand ransom money was also seized.
