Abdus Sattar made Tarique's personal secretary, Saleh Shibli press secretary

Two people have been appointed as personal secretary and press secretary to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The appointment was announced in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday.
ABM Abdus Sattar, former secretary of the Bangladesh government, has been appointed as the personal secretary to Tarique Rahman while AAM Saleh, also known as Saleh Shibli, has been made his press secretary.
Sattar previously served as the personal secretary to the BNP's late chairperson Khaleda Zia. Saleh Shibli is a former general secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).
Shibli returned to the country from the UK on the same flight on December 25 as Tarique Rahman and his family.
He has long been involved in journalism. His journalism career began with the daily Banglabazar Patrika.
Afterwards he worked in various media outlets including the daily Manab Zamin, the private news agency United News of Bangladesh (UNB), Radio Today and Channel i.
Shibli also served as the executive editor of London's Bengali-language television channel SA.
He is currently working as a non-resident fellow with the Sydney Policy and Research Center, an Australia-based political research organisation.
Shibli also worked as first secretary (press) at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata during the BNP-led four-party coalition government.
They both are also members of the BNP's central election steering committee for the 13th parliamentary election.
