ACC arrests Kurigram relief officer

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested on Monday the district relief and rehabilitation officer of Kurigram in a graft case, reports UNB.

ACC assistant director Md Amirul Islam of the Rangpur office arrested rehabilitation officer Abdul Motaleb Mollah, also a former project implementation officer of Rangpur, from Kurigram town, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told the news agency.

On June 26, 2013, the ACC filed a case against him with Rangpur Sadar Police Station for allegedly misappropriating about Tk 0.2 million (2 lakh) from four rural development projects when he was a project implementation officer in Rangpur.
