ACC finds 10 sources of graft in rly sector

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) submitted on Tuesday its findings to the railway ministry identifying ten sources of corruption involved in the country's railway sector.
The ACC team, formed to find irregularities in Bangladesh railway, also provided 15 recommendations in a bid to deal with those sources of corruption.
ACC Commissioner Mohammad Mozammel Haque Khan submitted its report to Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan at the latter's office.
The minister, however, at a media briefing said that the recommendations submitted by the ACC would be taken into account for the betterment of the railway sector.
The ACC commissioner told reporters that the ACC back in 2017 formed 25 separate teams to find irregularities in 25 ministries and directorates. In the meantime, the ACC has already submitted its findings and observations to 12 ministries.
In the 13th report to the railway ministry, the ACC identified 10 sources of corruption and provided 15 recommendations, the commissioner said.
Not only the railway sector but all the sectors of the country are under ACC's surveillance to fight corruption in the country.
