Action against 5 docs underway

Ministry of Health is going to take departmental action against five physicians of Palash upazila for their unauthorised absence at workplace, reports BSS.

A team of health ministry led by its additional secretary M Ayubur Rahman Monday visited three upazila health complexes of Gazipur and Narsingdi districts suddenly as per the directive of Health Minister Mohammad Nasim.

During the visit, the team, found the five physicians absent at their workplace in Palash upazila of Narsingdi district.

They are Dr Mitali Banik, Dr Rafia Sultana, Dr Mandira Sarker, Dr Ishrat Jahan Anny and Dr Shoyeb Imtiaz Alam.

The team also served show cause notice to Dr Manju Bhoje, Health and Family Planning Officer of Palash Upazila for approving leave to five physicians out of 19 physicians in a day.
