AFC Health Fortis Cardiac offers round-the-clock services in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Mar 08: AFC Health Fortis Cardiac Institute has established a 63-bed super-specialised hospital in Chittagong city in association with India's Fortis Escorts Heart Institute and Research Center providing world class and one-stop solution to cardiac problems.

It is the only hospital in the port city to provide round-the-clock Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) treatment to people with massive heart attacks, says a press release.

Over 5,000 patients received services at the hospital in less than one year of its existence. More than 1,000 patients were admitted during the period. Angiogram and Angioplasty were successfully performed on several hundred patients and bypass surgery on over 50 patients. A significant number of critical patients received Primary PCI and Rescue PCI.
