Syed Aminul Islam, director of government-run National Legal Aid Services Organisation (NLASO), has been appointed registrar of the Supreme Court (SC), reports UNB.
The appointment was made as per the will of the Chief Justice, said a Law Ministry gazette notification Thursday.
Mr Islam, who holds the status of District and Sessions Judge, succeeds Farid Ahmed Shibli, who has been elevated to the bench of the High Court division within a week of his deputation as registrar from the Judicial Service Commission where he was its secretary.
