Auto-rickshaw driver killed in city road crash

A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed in a road accident in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area early Wednesday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Sukkur Ali (38), while details of him could not be known immediately.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Momin said vehicle of Sukkur hit a standing truck near Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) at around 12:00 noon while he with three passengers was moving towards Mirpur from Gulilstan, leaving the four injured.
Later, a pedestrian got them admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors pronounced Sukkur dead.
The body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
