'Auto-rickshaw thieves' arrested

Police have arrested three alleged members of a gang involved in stealing CNG-run auto-rickshaws.

A stolen CNG-run auto-rickshaw was also recovered from their possession.

The arrestees were identified as Alal (30), Mithu Saha (20) and Basir Mia (38).

According to Khilgaon Police Station, CNG-run auto-rickshaw owner Masud Chowdhury gave an auto-rickshaw to Sajal for running on rent on February 17 (2025).

Later Sajal handed over the auto-rickshaw to Rabbi Mia.

Later Sajal, Rabbi and some other unidentified persons tactfully took away the auto-rickshaw and hided it.

Mohammad Masud Chowdhury filed a case with Khilgaon Police Station.

Later the police station with cooperation of Banchharampur Police Station of Brahmanbaria district nabbed Alal and Mithu.
