Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat handing over Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crest to Chief of Department of Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) during his visit to Russia — ISPR Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat returned home on Saturday after a six-day official visit to Russia, reports UNB.
The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) chief attended 'The International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2019)' during his visit. The air show provides a unique opportunity to aviation experts and businessmen for establishing multi-level connections and developing industrial cooperation.
Air Chief Marshal Serniabat also met his Russian counterpart and exchanged views on different issues of bilateral interest, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During the call on, the Chief of Air Staff highly appreciated and recognised the contribution of Russia in building BAF by providing modern aircraft, radar and other equipment soon after Bangladesh's independence.
He showed keen interest to take this bilateral Air Force relationship to a higher standard and proposed Air Staff Talk between BAF and Russian Air Force to explore areas of future cooperation.
Besides, the Air Chief also made a call on the Chief of Department of Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation (FSMTC). He also met high officials of ROSOBORONEXPORT and Aviation Corporation IRKUT in the Air Show.
During the call on, they discussed matters related to defence arms and technology of both countries and exchanged views on bilateral issues.
