‘BD to become a prosperous country soon’

Shrimati Nirmala Sithara-man, Defence Minister of India, predicted that "Bangladesh would become a prosperous country very soon, according to a press release.
Her comments came when Muhammad Musa, secretary general of the BCS Freedom Fighters and Mujibnagar Officers and Employees Association and former secretary to the Government of Bangladesh, and Habib-E-Akbar Mahmud, chairman of the New Generation of Freedom Fighters, called on her at her office in South Block, New Delhi recently.
She termed the Rohingya crisis a 'miserable humanitarian disaster. "India is with Bangladesh, likewise most of the democratic world, in efforts to bring about a solution to the problem beneficial to all," she said. "The present and future generations of Bangladesh owe the privilege of emancipation they're enjoying now to the noble Freedom Fighters and the sacrifices they made.
The Freedom Fighters are among the nation's greatest assets and all Bengalees should be proud of them", she added. Musa thanked the Indian minister for the generous compliments she gave and added: "India has always stood steadfastly beside Bangladesh.
The Indian Forces sacrificed their lives during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 and that's something no Bengalee will ever forget."
