BD worker in KL seeks govt help to undergo operation

Family of a seriously ill Bangladeshi worker now staying in Malaysia sought financial and other necessary supports from the government.

Hasan Bepari (28), hailing from Jhalakathi district, was working at a car workshop in Serdang in Malaysia. But he met a road accident on October 27 this year.

His friends and fellows collected money and managed his admission into a hospital at Serdang, said his mother Kohinur Begum.

His condition has now deteriorated because of multiple cervical fractures. Doctor has suggested him an immediate operation. Otherwise he may not return to his normal life, she said.

The operation cost is approximately Malaysian Ringgit 20,000 to 30,000. But due to lack of necessary funds the operation he needs, is not possible, she added.

Ms Kohinur has applied for financial help to Wage Earners' Welfare Board on Wednesday last.

Hasan is the only son of his poor parent. He also has wife and a son and a daughter.
