Body of madrasha student recovered in city

Police recovered the dead body of a student of a madrasha at Kamalapur Railway Station in the city on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Asma Akter (18), hailing from Panchagarh district.

Rusho Banik, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kamalapur Railway Station, told the FE that the motive of the death could not be ascertained immediately. The victim might have been strangulated, the officer added.

After completing due legal procedures, the body of the deceased was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, the OC mentioned.
