BRAC University (BRAC U) has recently been selected as the exclusive host university in Bangladesh for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) for the 2026-27 award cycle, according to a statement.

Administered by the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the QECS provide an opportunity to pursue a two-year master's degree at a low- or middle-income Commonwealth country. The scholarships are open to applicants from across the Commonwealth. QECS scholars will receive support to enhance their knowledge and skills and learn how to apply them to drive positive change in their communities, contributing to global solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Applications are open until January 14, 2026. The scholarship covers fully-funded tuition fees, living expenses (stipend), return economy flights to the host country, a one-off arrival allowance, and a research support grant (subject to approval).

At BRAC University, the scholarships are available for four master's programmes: Master of Public Health, Master of Development Studies, Master of Education in Educational Leadership and School Improvement, and Master of Science in Biotechnology.

Eligible candidates must meet the academic and admission requirements set by BRAC University.

BRAC University became a member of the ACU in 2021, joining a prestigious global network of over 500 universities across the Commonwealth.
