Bristi's solo art show on special children ends

A solo art exhibition on special children drew a huge crowd at Alliance Francaise in the city's Dhanmondi on its concluding day on Tuesday, coinciding with the World Autism Awareness Day.

Titled 'A Way to Break Beyond, the 12-day art exhibition by Salma Zakia Bristi, that began on March 22 featured some unique and innovative ideas and focused on latent talents of the special children.

Salma Zakia said special children face several hindrances and negligence various ways in society.

Even, parents sometimes cannot understand the special thinking process and talents in such type of children, she added.

"The special children have different views towards the world. But, they are often misunderstood and tortured in society," she said.

Such children have high-level of special talents and different judgments and they have skills and capacities to detect new problems and solve them, she observed.

"We should patronise them to develop their high-level talents and utilise those," she said. She said special people have contributed to all of the revolutionary changes, innovation of the world, not normal people.
