BSF pick up BD national from Burimari border

LALMONIRHAT, Jan 15 (UNB): Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members picked a Bangladeshi national from the Muglibari area along Burimari border in Patgram upazila early Monday.

The victim was identified as Mofazzal Hossain, 33, son of late Abdul Hanif of the Muglibari area in the upazila.

Contacted, Rangpur-61 Border Guard Battalion (BGB) acting camp commander Major Syed Moniruzzaman said according to primary information, some cattle traders, numbering 10/12, from both countries gathered near the area of sub-pillar No 2 of main border pillar No 841 around 4:30am. A patrol team of BSF chased them and picked Mofazzal from the area.

BGB sent a letter to the BSF seeking a flag meeting over the issue. But no reply is yet to be received, he added.
