BSTI files cases against four petrol pumps

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) filed on Wednesday cases against four petrol pumps for their alleged weight and measurement manipulations of different types of fuel.

A team of BSTI team led by Assistant Director Md Rezaul Karim carried out drives at Messrs Sam Associate Limited at Mirpur-2 Shah Alibagh, Messrs Cosmo Filing Station and Service Centre at Azampur of Uttara, Messrs Latif and Co. Filing Station at Turag of Uttara in the capital and Messrs Moon Star Filing Station at Chandra in Gazipur.

The BSTI team also sealed off Messrs Sam Associate Limited.

The petrol pumps had been engaged in depriving the clients of petrol, diesel and octane.

They deprived clients 540 milliliters out of every 10 litres of fuel.
