Prof Dr A B M Badruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), has recently been elected a Fellow of the Bangladesh Academy of Science at its 16th council meeting.
The award recognises his significant contribution to engineering and scientific merit at home and abroad, says a press release.
Dr Badruzzaman, a professor of Department of Civil Engineering, obtained his PhD degree from University of Virginia, USA in 1992.
