Case filed after recovery of BB official's body

An unnatural death case has been filed following the recovery of the decomposed body of Bangladesh Bank (BB) Additional Director Tanvir Hossain Shuvo. The deceased brother Tanim Hossain Sawon filed the case with Mugda Police Station in the capital on Tuesday night.

Earlier, police recovered the body of BB additional director Tanvir Hossain Shuvo from a rented flat in the capital's Mugda area at around 9:30 pm Tuesday (June 2, 2026).

The body was recovered from a flat in the Ahmedbagh area after neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from the apartment and informed the police.
