Case over murder of two Garo women in city

A case has been filed with Gulshan thana over the murder of an elderly Garo woman and her daughter in the city's Kalachandpur area, reports UNB.

The dead is Besat Moni Chiran (65) and her daughter Sujata Chiran (40).

Police recovered their bodies from the 4th floor of a multi-storey building in the area around 11"00 pm on Tuesday.

Of them, Sujata was slaughtered and Besnat Moni was strangled, police said.

AB Siddique, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gulshan thana, said Besat Moni's husband Ashish Mankin filed the case with the thana around 9:00 am on Wednesday.
