CCC allows hawkers to use footpaths during Ramadan

CHATTOGRAM, May 21: Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) authorities have taken a decision to allow hawkers to run their business activities on the footpaths considering their interest for the holy month of Ramadan.

The decision was taken at a meeting with the hawkers at the CCC office with CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin in the chair on Monday afternoon. The Mayor said the hawkers will be allowed to sell goods on the footpaths in the city from 11th Ramadan.

The hawkers requested the Mayor to allow them to continue their business activities on the city's footpaths during the holy Ramadan considering it as a good season for sale of clothes and other necessary things.
