Central Shariah Board founder Shah Abdul Hannan dies

Founder and Advisor of Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh Shah Abdul Hannan died in a city hospital on Wednesday, says a statement.

He was 82.

He left behind his son, daughter, grandchildren and many well-wishers to mourn his death.

He was laid to rest at Shahjahanpur graveyard in the city after his namaj-e-janaza on two occasions.

Central Shariah Board Chairman Professor Dr. Mohammad Gias Uddin Talukder, Vice Chairman Moulana M. Shamaun Ali, Executive Committee Chairman Professor Md. Anwarul Azim Arif, among others, extended their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.

He was farmer deputy governor of Bangladesh, former director general of Anti-Corruption Bureau and farmer secretary to the government.
