Charge sheet against eight cops for using fake FF certificates

BENAPOLE, Aug 23: A charge sheet has been filed against eight police constables in Jashore for taking police job by showing fake freedom fighter's certificate.

Investigating officer, Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station SI Sekendar Abu Jafar submitted the charge sheet to the court after investigating the case. Earlier, a case was filed against them on December 30 last year.

Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station SI Sekendar Abu Jafar said the accused are Rana Hasan, son of Saifur Rahman of Ghop area of Jashore town, Bipod Singh, son of Sadhan Singh of Sura village of Sadar upazila, Sujal Singh, son of Kumaresh Singh, Amit Kumar Biswas, son of Ajit Kumar Biswas of Narsinghokathi village, Ashikur Rahman, son of Basharat Hossain of Andalpota village, Bappi Mahmud, son of Ahad Ali of the Saitkhali village, Moniruzzaman, son of Mozammel Haque of Jagannathpur village of Chaugachha upazila and Alim Uddin, son of Abdus Sattar Biswas of Gaurinathpur village of Jashore district.

Accordingly, the notification of appointment of constables was published on January 26, 2014.

Recruitment test was held on December 03, 2015 at Jashore Police Line. On the same day, the accused in the Muktijoddha quota were finally elected as constables of police.
