Chawkbazar building fire under control

The fire that broke out in a three-storey building in Old Dhaka's Chawkbazar on Monday was brought under control, reports UNB.

The blaze started on the top floor of the building at around 04:40 pm.

Upon receiving the information, four firefighting units rushed to the spot and began working to bring the flames under control.

Later, three more teams joined the operation and brought the blaze under control at 6pm, he added.

Meanwhile, another fire that broke out in a six-storey building in the capital's Mohammadpur was also brought under control.

The fire started on the top floor of the building at around 03:30 pm.

On information, two firefighting units from Muhammadpur Fire Station rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 04:25 pm.
