Chinese medical team arrives today to treat injured students

A Chinese National Emergency Medical Team will arrive in Dhaka today (Sunday) to provide advanced medical treatment to individuals severely injured during the July-August protests in Bangladesh, reports BSS.
The decision to dispatch the team was made by Beijing at the request of the interim government's Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, according to the Chinese embassy in Dhaka.
The team, consisting of 10 medical experts from West China Hospital, one of China's leading healthcare institutions, is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 1:35 pm, an embassy official confirmed. The embassy will issue a detailed statement on the team's activities today (Sunday), he added.
