CNN to campaign for BD exports

The CNN International is set to start a digital campaign for boosting Bangladesh's export.

Under the move, the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) and CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) signed on Wednesday a non-financial memorandum of understanding.

The US-based international media will campaign to enhance the country's export through its network.

The campaign 'Made in Bangladesh' will run through private-sector finance to enhance the country's export and help craft fitting strategies in the global market.

BFTI chief executive officer (in-charge) Md Obaidul Azam and CNNIC director (sales) Abhijeet Dhar signed the instrument on behalf of their respective sides at BFTI office at Karwanbazar in Dhaka.

As per the deal, the CNN will produce television advertisements, promotional audio visuals and prepare a theme week of 'Made in Bangladesh' and others to campaign for Bangladesh export.

The Spellbound Communications Limited, the local representative of the CNN, and the BFIT will work together to make the digital campaign a success.
