CUCSU election to be held using OMR system

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 11 (BSS): Chattogram University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) election will be conducted using an OMR system, with ballot papers featuring candidates' names and numbers.

Professor Dr Monir Uddin, chief election commissioner for the CUCSU, hall, and hostel parliament elections, told BSS in an exclusive interview today around 11 am that the election was being held after 36 years and transparency and fairness will be ensured through the OMR system.

He added that the ballot format is similar to those used in admission tests and other competitive examinations.

The ballot papers for the CUCSU, hall, and hostel parliament elections will have five pages in total. One page will be allocated for the hall and hostel parliament elections, while the remaining four pages will cover the Central Parliament election.

Each page will display the candidate's name, surname, ballot number, and an empty circle for voters to mark their choice.
