DC Conference to begin July 24

A three-day annual conference of the deputy commissioners (DCs) of the districts will begin on July 24 in the capital.

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the conference at Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

The district heads' conference for the year 2018 will continue until July 26.

On the day of inauguration, the PM will listen to the problems being faced by the grassroots level officials.

She will give the DCs necessary directives for implementing the government's pro-people development projects and agenda.

Ministers, state ministers, deputy ministers, senior secretaries and secretaries of different ministries will be present at the inaugural session.

During the conference, the district heads will also meet President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabahan.

The DC Conference -2017 was held from July 25 to 27 last year.
