Social activists formed a human chain in front of the National Museum in the city on Saturday to protest and raise awareness for female migrant workers that can face various forms of abuse by employers in Saudi Arabia — Focus Bangla Amid a crackdown on undocumented workers in Saudi Arabia, 75 more Bangladeshi workers returned home on Friday night, reports UNB.
With this, Saudi Arabia deported 332 Bangladeshis in the last three days.
A flight carrying 75 deportees landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11:20pm on Friday night, said Md Shariful Hasan, head of Brac Migration Programme.
"Many of them, who returned home yesterday (Friday), had been to Saudi Arabia only a few months ago. They didn't get the jobs they were supposed to get and those who lived there for a long time don't know why they have been sent back," he added.
