Dev assistance meeting for spl areas held in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 15: Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram Abdul Manan said on Sunday the government is eager to develop the special areas, including Tripura Polli at Sitakunda, to improve the living standard of tribal people.

He said by doing so, the government is implementing the various projects in education, health and communication sector.

The commissioner came up the remarks while speaking at a divisional development assistance meeting at his office in Chattogram.

The meeting discussed the development of special areas which do not include Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT) and tribal people who lived in others districts.

Presided over by theDivisional Commissioner the meeting that was addressed, among others, by Additional Divisional Commissioners Sankar Ranjan Shaha and Md Nurul Alam Nijami, Deputy Director of LGRD Nusrat Sultana, Additional Deputy Commissioners Mohammed Kamal Hossain (Chattogram), Swakat Osman (Chandpur) Kaijer Mohammed Farabi, SM Sarwar Kamal (Cox's Bazar), Md Abu Yousuf (Noakhali) and Mitu Morium (Brahmanbaria).
