DSCC launches road construction project for Maniknagar

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) launched on Thursday an 880-metre road construction and development project in the Maniknagar area of the capital.

The initiative is part of an ongoing drive by the corporation to improve local infrastructure, regulate urban transit, and enhance civic services throughout the capital.

Inaugurating the construction work, the DSCC Administrator Md Abdus Salam emphasised the need for planned urban development and better citizen cooperation to make Dhaka a livable and clean city.

The objective of this work coincides with broader DSCC transport and infrastructure initiatives, including ongoing reorganisations at the nearby Sayedabad Bus Terminal, to ease city traffic congestion.
