DU again restricts vehicle entry during weekends, holidays

Dhaka University (DU) authorities have decided to restrict vehicle entry to the campus from 03:00 pm to 10:00 pm on weekends and public holidays to ensure the safety of students, reports bdnews24.com.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the university's Proctor's Office announced that vehicle movement control within the campus will be reinstated from today (Sunday).

According to the notice, entry through Shahbagh, Doel Chattar, Burn Unit, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Palashi Mor, and Nilkhet gates will remain restricted for vehicles without Dhaka University stickers during these hours.

Exceptions will be made for vehicles providing emergency and essential services, including ambulances, doctors, patients, journalists, ride-sharing cars, food delivery and online shopping vehicles, and other authorised government transport.
