DU alumni take a trip down memory lane

Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA) held a reunion on Saturday bringing together former students of the university at the DU central playground where they recalled their bygone days on the campus.
About 5,000 alumni attended the event and walked down memory lane along with their old friends and fellows.
The daylong event was inaugurated by DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman by hoisting flag. DUAA President A Kader Azad presided over the function while cultural personality Ramendu Majumdar moderated it.
Former Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith was present as the chief guest.
Besides, ex-DUCSU vice-president and former minister Tofail Ahmed and former president of the alumni association Syed Manjur Elahi, and the convener of the get-together (Milon Mela) organising committee spoke on the occasion, among others.
DU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmad, Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammmad Samad, former vice chancellors, cabinet members, parliament members, educationists, politicians, journalists, intellectuals, eminent industrialists, cultural personalities were also present.
VC Akhtaruzzaman thanked the alumni association for holding the event.
