DU 'Ga' unit intake test held

The first year honours admission test of 'Ga' unit under Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University (DU) for 2020-21 academic session was held in eight divisional cities on Friday.

The test was held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on total 120 marks, said a press release.

A total of 27,374 students applied for 1,250 seats under 'Ga' unit where around 22 students vied for one seat.

Of the total, 20 marks were given on the basis of the results of School Secondary Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC). It was 80 marks earlier and the admission test was held on the rest 100 marks.

Of the 100-mark test, the multiple choice questions (MCQ) exam was held on 60 marks and the written exam on the rest 40 marks. Admission seekers got 45 minutes for MCQ part and 45 minutes for written part.

No electronic devices, including calculator, mobile phone and electronic watch were allowed into the exam halls.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad (Administration), Pro-VC (Academic) Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Maksud Kamal, 'Ga' unit test coordinator and Business Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Moyeen, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, DU Teachers' Association General Secretary Prof. Dr. Md. Nizamul Hoque Buiyan, and Proctor Dr. A.K.M. Golam Rabbani visited business faculty building and other centres on the campus.
