DU, govt to celebrate July Women's Day today

Dhaka University (DU) and the government will celebrate July Women's Day today (Monday) at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC). The observance is part of a series of events to commemorate the first anniversary of the July Uprising. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Shilpakala Academy, and DU have joined hands to organise the events.

To facilitate participation of female students from various residential halls, the programme will begin at 7:00 PM and conclude by 10:00 PM.

Female students will have the opportunity to conduct hall-based cultural activities afterwards. Entry to the venue will be allowed only upon presentation of valid ID cards. Vehicular access to the surrounding roads will be suspended from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday.
