DU student found dead in Hazaribagh house

Police recovered the body of a Dhaka University (DU) student from a house in the capital's Hazaribagh area early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Saiful Amin, alias Simanto (25).He was a student of the Department of Chemistry at the university.

According to relatives, Simanto used to live in a room at a residential building on Moneshwar Road in Hazaribagh.

He remained inside his room after 9:00 pm on Thursday.

As he did not respond for an extended period, the building owner was informed, and the door was forced open, after which he was found unconscious.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where attending doctors declared him dead.

Family members reported a strong odour of a toxic substance coming from his mouth. However, the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
